German master Wim Wenders is in India and he’s talking up a storm

Also this week: Indian titles make a splash at the Berlin Film Festival. Here are this week's top stories from The Reel.

The Film Heritage Foundation staged a minor coup by getting Wim Wenders to India. The acclaimed German director, whose road movies have especially reinvented the way we look at the genre, is on a staggering five-city tour. He kicked off the visit in Mumbai, where he attended screenings of some of his films, addressed a master class, and met with a selection of Indian directors.

The Berlin Film Festival has picked a few Indian titles, including ‘Pedro’ director Natesh Hegde’s new movie ‘Vaghachipani’ (Tiger’s Pond).

Also at Berlin: the Bengali-language ‘Shadowbox’ (Baksho Bondi) by cinematographer Saumyananda Sahi and editor Tanushree Das.

In the week’s reviews, Laxman Utekar directs Vicky Kaushal as the Maratha emperor Sambhaji in Chhava.

In Rishab Seth’s Dhoom Dhaam, Yami Gautam Dhar and Pratik Gandhi team up for a madcap adventure.

In the ‘Start the film with a week’ series, we look at Justin Kurzel’s ‘The Order’, about a white extremist group planning an attack on the US government.
